BTCCSquare news:

Aave has relinquished its leadership role over the Lens social protocol, handing stewardship to Mask Network. The transition, announced by Aave and Lens founder Stani Kulechov, marks a strategic shift for Aave as it refocuses on decentralized finance (DeFi). Mask Network, known for its expertise in blockchain-integrated social platforms, will now guide Lens's product strategy and application development.

The MOVE is not framed as an acquisition or a retreat from social infrastructure, but rather a realignment of responsibilities. Mask Network will oversee consumer-facing operations, including product roadmaps and user experience design for Lens-based applications like Orb. Despite requests for clarification, Lens Protocol declined to elaborate on the nuances of the transition.
